The Interport hosts almost 80 firms employing nearly 1,200 people with an induced activity involving more than 3,000 employees.
On a surface of nearly 2 million square meter there are both railways and terminal related infrastructures, and also warehouses for carriers, freighters and logistics operators.
Located in the North East of Italy, Interporto di Padova is connected to the main national and international railways and roads; it is thus a “strategic” logistic hub for the goods departing from and arriving at Europe from Africa and Asia, as well as to unite the Continents to eachother.
The connection to the railway network is ensured by 4 km long a backbone connecting the Terminal Container with the Trieste-Venezia-Verona-Milan-Turin axes and to the Padua-Bologna-Rome one, while the connection to the motorway network is performed by the gate of Padova Est (along the Venezia-Verona-Milano-Torino, the socalled A4) and by the one of Padova Interporto along the Padova – Bologna or A13.
