Interporto di Padova Distripark
Distripark is an advanced logistic platform. According to a EU regulation, it is an area suitable for the free handling of the goods, where customs easenings are available, in that it is a "free area" or a "free port". Within Distripark, goods are unloaded from the containers and they are prepared for the delivery to the end customers through packaging, labelling, assembly, and quality assessment operations. The goods can thus be adapted to meet the users' and the destination Countries requirements.
In it there are also the warehouses, management services, ICT and telematic infrastructures, but also those barns where one can perform manufacturing activities aimed at transforming the semifinished products into finished ones to then convoy towards the national or foreign markets. The settlement of a Distripark into an interport area represents a key factor to create an important induced activity generating employment and development around an interport. The Distripark of the Interporto di Padova stands on an area of nearly 97,000 sqm and it is subdivided into two factory buildings, one of which is connected to the railways network. The surface of the complex covered by warehouses amounts to 47,500 sqm, and it is devoted to "dedicated" Distribution Logistics services. The services provided with by Interporto di Padova Distripark also comprise: goods management at a monitored temperature, consolidation and deconsolidation of containers, customs warehouses and so on...
