9 January 2023

The Municipal Council of Abano Terme has approved the extension until 2026 of the Convention with Interporto Padova for the Cityporto service of urban delivery of goods with ecological vehicles. The Cityporto service in Abano, launched in 2019 and similar to the one that has been in operation for almost 20 years in Padua, has been undoubtedly successful in the last three years in the spa resort, which has therefore decided to confirm the agreement with Interporto. The mayor of Abano Federico Barbierato emphasises: “This service combines logistical efficiency for couriers with environmental sustainability, which in a tourist town like ours is even more keenly felt than elsewhere”. Franco Pasqualetti, president of Interporto Padova, explains: “With just one low environmental impact van, we concentrate up to 10 trips per day of various diesel vehicles from different operators, which benefits the atmosphere and also the traffic in Abano Terme.
