Interporto Padova Spa celebrated today with an event in the magnificent Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo at the University of Padua the 50th anniversary of its foundation. It was in fact 6 June 1973, when the act of foundation of what was then called Interporto Merci Padova Spa was signed at the Padua Chamber of Commerce.

The event recalled fifty years of life and the transformations that have today made Interporto Padova the most advanced Italian freight village in terms of technology and environmental sustainability.

The celebration was also an opportunity to present Interporto Padova’s latest innovative project, a photovoltaic energy storage system to power the electric cranes of the large Intermodal Terminal. A plant that aims at energy autonomy, protection against energy cost disruptions and total environmental sustainability of the logistics operations carried out in the terminal itself
