Ivory Coast ambassador visits Interporto Padua and takes an interest in the advantages of intermodal transport

The ambassador of the Republic of the Ivory Coast in Italy, Samuel Quattara, paid a visit to the Padua Freight Village this morning. The delegation, on an official visit to the Veneto region, was received by president Franco Pasqualetti, flanked by general director Roberto Tosetto and deputy director Paolo Pandolfo, who illustrated the aims, structures and organisation of the Padua logistics platform. The ambassador expressed particular interest in the advantages of intermodal transport, in the light of the Ivorian government’s project to create a network of freight villages that would transport goods from neighbouring countries by rail to the important port of Abidjan.
