Interporto Padua and Green Logistics Expo, the new international exhibition dedicated to innovation in logistics and its relationship with sustainability, whose first edition took place from 7 to 9 March, received today in Milan the prestigious “Il Logistico dell’Anno” award assigned by Assologistica and the specialised magazine Euromerci and now in its 14th edition
Conceived and organised by Interporto Padova in collaboration with Fiera di Padova and Geo Spa and the involvement of the University, the Chamber of Commerce, and the production categories, the new event immediately stood out on the national and international trade fair scene for its innovative approach that has found consensus among operators from the entire logistics world.
The president of Interporto Padova Sergio Gelain emphasises: “It is a great honour to be awarded the ‘Logistics of the Year’ prize, certainly the most prestigious recognition in the sector at national level. We are really happy that Green Logistics Expo, a project we conceived and realised with Fiera di Padova, Geo Spa involving universities, category associations and the Chamber of Commerce, has found such an important response from operators. This confirms our intuition, namely that the logistics world is very attentive to innovation and needs a place where this theme is shared authoritatively with the market. Interporto Padua has always interpreted its role as an operator at the service of the market precisely by looking at innovation. I am thinking of Cityporto, the first urban distribution service for goods in Italy with environmentally friendly vehicles, or the large photovoltaic system that covers the roofs of all the interport warehouses: conceiving and realising a Fair dedicated to the logistics of the future is our way of contributing to the growth of the entire sector. After the success of the first edition (almost 250 companies present, more than 5000 professional visitors, more than 50 events and study meetings of the highest level) Green Logistics Expo returns with the second edition already scheduled from Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 March 2020.
