Yet another recognition for Interporto Padova at European level: after the financing already finalised in 2015 (with the 4 gantry cranes project), INEA (the Managing Autority of the CEF – Connecting Europe Facilty Programme) has also approved the further project proposal of the Padua Company. The CEF Coordination Committee has in fact expressed a favourable opinion on the co-financing of a series of complementary works to the installation of the 4 electric cranes and intended to improve the overall efficiency of the infrastructure.
The financing was obtained following the presentation of a detailed project approved by the Board of Directors last January. Interporto Padua presented a package of measures for a total commitment of EUR 5,935,600 and obtained co-financing of EUR 1,352,120, equal to about 20 per cent of the overall investment.A total of 195 projects passed at the European level. Out of the 41 Italian candidate projects, only 12 were classified as winners and therefore ‘recommended for funding’, including that of Interporto Padua (1.352 million grant).
This is a great result, not only from an economic point of view, but also for the recognition at the European level of Interporto Padua’s project, of the Padua logistics system and its central role in the Veneto Region system.
